Abstract

To realize a production method for the formation of a group IV-vacancy center(s), the method achieving improved efficiency in the formation of the group IV-vacancy center(s), a generation method is a method for generating a group IV-vacancy (V) center(s) and includes: a preparation step (S11) of preparing a diamond containing a group IV element(s) and vacancies; and a rapid thermal annealing step (S12) of subjecting the diamond to rapid thermal annealing at a target temperature of not lower than 800°C to form a group IV-vacancy center(s) in the diamond.
