Abstract

The present disclosure provides a thermally compensated multi-pass spectroscopy gas cell comprising a cylindrical cell housing constructed from a first material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and defining an interior. The cell comprises first and second mirror assemblies, each comprising a mirror holder and mirror secured within the holder. The mirror assemblies are positioned at opposite ends of the cylindrical cell housing to create a multi-pass optical configuration. The mirror holders are constructed from a second material having a second CTE that is greater than the first CTE to provide thermal compensation for stable mirror separation across operating temperature range.
