Abstract

A heating device (20) includes a pressure rotator (22), a heating rotator (21), and a heater (23). The heater (23) includes an electrode (55, 56, 60), a resistive strip (51, 51a, 51b) extending in a longitudinal direction, and an electric conductor (57, 58, 59). In the longitudinal direction, the resistive strip (51, 51a, 51b) has a central region (L2) having a constant width in a transverse direction and an end region (L1) adjacent to the central region (L2), and the end region (L1) has a part having a width decreasing in the transverse direction toward an end of the heater (23) in the longitudinal direction and an edge (51c) along the part. The electric conductor (57, 58, 59) contacts the edge (51c) from one end to another end of the edge (51c) in the longitudinal direction and connects the resistive strip (51, 51a, 51b) and the electrode (55, 56, 60).
