Abstract

According to exemplary embodiments, a battery pack is provided. The battery pack may include: a plurality of battery cells arranged in a first direction inside a pack housing; a plurality of separators interposed between the plurality of battery cells and having a height greater than the height of each of the plurality of battery cells; and an upper cover disposed on top of the plurality of battery cells and the plurality of separators and including a base and a plurality of accommodating parts protruding from the base to accommodate each of the plurality of separators. The upper cover may include: a thermoplastic case; and a fire extinguishing agent within the thermoplastic case.
