Abstract

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for saving network energy in a wireless communication system. A method performed by a terminal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: receiving pattern information of at least one of an active period and an inactive period of cell-related DTX or DRX; receiving configuration information related to a random access process; receiving DCI including information indicating a specific resource for the random access process as a resource available for transmission or a resource unavailable for transmission; and performing the random access process on the basis of the pattern information, the configuration information, and the DCI. Here, on the basis that the specific resource is indicated as a resource unavailable for transmission, the random access process may be performed by invalidating at least one of a RACH opportunity or a RACH preamble related to the specific resource.
