Abstract

A dermatological laser apparatus for dermatological treatment of a patient's skin using a treatment laser beam, the dermatological laser apparatus comprising a laser module, a beam delivery device, and a control circuit, wherein the laser module is configured to create bursts of laser radiation, each burst comprising laser radiation at least one of a set of laser wavelengths, the set comprising two or more laser wavelengths, wherein the beam delivery device is configured to direct the created laser radiation as a treatment laser beam towards a target area of the patient's skin; and wherein the control circuit is configured to: obtain information about the patient's skin type; select, in dependence of at least the patient's skin type, relative amounts of laser energy to be delivered at respective ones of the set of laser wavelengths; and control the laser module to create the bursts of laser radiation such that each burst comprises the selected relative amounts of laser energy at the respective ones of the set of laser wavelengths.
