Abstract

Examples relate to a drum assembly (10) for manufacturing water-soluble pouches, the drum assembly (10) comprising: a base drum (12) configured to rotate around a central axis (A), a plurality of shell segments (14) detachably mounted to the base drum (12) collectively forming a cylindrical outer molding surface (16) around the circumference of the base drum (12); wherein the outer molding surface (16) comprises a plurality of mold cavities (18), each mold cavity (18) being configured to define one or more compartments in the water-soluble pouches, and wherein each shell segment (14) covers an angular portion of the circumference of the base drum (12) preferably comprised in a range of 20° to 120°, more preferably 30° to 90°, and most preferably around 60°.
