Abstract

A method of producing a two-dimensional coordination polymer, including a preparation step of preparing a Ni compound, a Pd compound, or a Pt compound, or a solution thereof, and benzenehexathiol, a derivative of benzenehexathiol, or a solution of at least one thereof, and a polymer formation step of preparing a single-phase solution including the Ni compound, the Pd compound, or the Pt compound, and the benzenehexathiol, and producing a two-dimensional coordination polymer in the single-phase solution, a two-dimensional coordination polymer that includes a constitutional unit represented by Formula (2) and a constitutional unit represented by Formula (3), and in which M<1> is Ni or Pt, or M<2> is Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Pd, or Ag, and a solution for forming a two-dimensional coordination polymer are provided.
