Abstract
Techniques for removing phase noise from baseband signals in a radar system are disclosed. In one example, a received baseband signal is derotated using parameters of a spill-over signal to generate a derotated signal. The derotated signal is decomposed into a real component and an imaginary component. A transform is applied on the real component to produce a transformed signal. A phase noise signal estimate is generated by subtracting the transformed signal from the imaginary component. The phase noise signal estimate is applied to the received baseband signal to generate a phase noise mitigated signal.
