Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method, system, and corresponding computer program product for identifying an infection risk at a wound site through continuous temperature monitoring. The disclosed solution involves acquiring temperature data from a plurality of sensors positioned near the wound site at predefined intervals, processing the data to form a time-series of temperature values, and analyzing the time-series to detect a temperature trend. Deviations from a predefined baseline temperature pattern associated with normal wound healing are identified, and an alert signal is generated upon detecting a deviation indicative of a potential infection risk.
