Abstract

A battery pack according to some embodiments includes:a pack housing including a base plate and a side wall;a venting device located on the side wall;a battery cell assembly on the base plate;first and second separation walls on the base plate, wherein the first and second separation walls are spaced apart from each other with the battery cell assembly therebetween, and the first separation wall is closer to the venting device than the second separation wall; anda pack lid covering the battery cell assembly and the first and second separation walls, whereinthe first separation wall includes one or more first vent holes,the second separation wall includes one or more second vent holes, andthe first and second separation walls may be configured to guide the flow of gas inside the battery pack toward the venting device.Accordingly, thermal propagation inside the battery pack can be delayed or prevented.
