Abstract
The present invention relates to a planar motor system (1), which comprises at least one stator segment (2) and at least one shuttle (3) with a magnet unit (6), wherein drive coils (5) are arranged on the at least one stator segment (2, 21) and a magnet unit (6) is arranged on the at least one shuttle (3). A control arrangement (7) controls the drive coils (5) of the at least one stator segment (2) to interact with the magnet unit (6) of the at least one shuttle (3) electromagnetically to move the at least one shuttle (3). To provide an improved, simple and cost-efficient energy and/or data transfer between the shuttle (3) and/or a further stator segment (22), the planar motor system (1) comprises a capacitive power transfer arrangement (10). The capacitive power transfer arrangement (10) comprises at least two first plate electrodes (8) provided on the at least one stator segment (2, 21) of the planar motor system (1) and at least two second plate electrodes (9) provided on the at least one shuttle (3) and/or on another stator segment (22) of the planar motor system (1). The control arrangement (7) is configured to move the at least one shuttle (3) and/or the other stator segment (22) of the planar motor system (1) such that one (81) of the first plate electrodes (8) provided on the at least one stator segment (2, 21) of the planar motor system (1) and one (91) of the second plate electrodes (9) provided on the at least one shuttle (3) and/or on the other stator segment (22) of the planar motor system (3) form a first coupling capacitor (C1) and another one (82) of the first plate electrodes (8) provided on the at least one stator segment (2, 21) of the planar motor system (1) and another one (92) of the second plate electrodes (9) provided on the at least one shuttle (3) and/or on the other stator segment (22) of the planar motor system (1) form a second coupling capacitor (C2). Furthermore, the control arrangement (7) is configured to energize either the at least two first plate electrodes (8) or the at least two second plate electrodes (9) so as to transfer energy and/or data between the at least one stator segment (2, 21) and the at least one shuttle (3) and/or the other stator segment (22) of the planar motor system (1).
