Abstract

The disclosure relates to a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system for a vehicle, wherein the system is operable in at least two operation modes and the system comprises: a first heat exchanger (241); a second heat exchanger (242); and an air rejection port (271) arranged between the first and second heat exchanger; wherein: in a first operation mode of the system, the first heat exchanger is used for cooling in the system and the second heat exchanger is used for heating in the system; in a second operation mode of the system, the first heat exchanger is used for heating in the system and the second heat exchanger is used for cooling in the system; and the air rejection port is arranged for rejecting at least a portion of air, transported in the system, to outside environment of the vehicle in any one of the at least two operation modes of the system.
