Abstract

A vehicle door outer handle device (20) includes a handle (25) rotatable between a storage position when stored in a base (21) and an emergency operation position when rotated to a vehicle exterior side, and a traction member (48) configured to switch a door latch device (10) to an unlatched state. An operation member (43) operable when the handle (25) is rotated at least to the emergency operation position and a coupling lever (44) configured to move in conjunction with an operation of the operation member (43) and be able to directly transmit operating force of the operation member (43) to the traction member (48) are attached to the base (21).
