Abstract

The present invention relates to a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery including: a negative electrode active material layer provided on at least one surface of a negative electrode current collector layer; a surface layer provided on a surface of the negative electrode active material layer; and an inner layer provided between the negative electrode active material layer and the surface layer, wherein the surface layer and the inner layer include one or more selected from the group consisting of a polyvinyl-based polymer, a polyamide-based polymer, a polysilane-based polymer, a polyfluorene-based polymer, a polyaniline-based polymer, and a combination thereof, and the inner layer and the surface layer include polymers different from each other, thereby suppressing thermal runaway.
