Abstract
A secondary battery includes a battery can having an internal space and an opening, an electrode assembly in the internal space of the battery can, a cap assembly fixed to the opening of the battery can, the cap assembly being connected to the electrode assembly, and a bottom retainer on a bottom portion of the battery can, the bottom retainer holding and supporting the electrode assembly.
