Abstract

There is provided a method for controlling a starting current of a motor, including: determining a peak short-circuit current calculation coefficient or a power factor of the motor; determining a power factor angle corresponding to the peak short-circuit current calculation coefficient or the power factor; and selecting a closing angle to start the motor based on the determined power factor angle. According to the embodiments of the present invention, a starting current of a motor can be reduced, a magnitude of a current flowing through a SiC MOSFET can be reduced, and the reliability of the SiC MOSFET is greatly improved, thus ensuring the operation safety of a product.
