Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a spreader block (100) for quickly constructing and dismantling a landing net. The spreader block comprises a main body (200); a first arm (204) and a second arm (204) both, each pivotably connected to the main body; a cam (400) pivotably connected to the main body; and a means (202) for actuating the cam; wherein the spreader block is arranged to provide a closed configuration in which the first arm and the second arm are substantially parallel to each other, and an open configuration in which the first arm and second arm are non-parallel to each other; and wherein the cam is arranged between the first arm and the second arm such that rotation of the means for actuating the cam relative to the main body moves the first arm and the second arm between the closed position and open position.
