Abstract
The invention relates a wet extruded food product comprising 30-50 wt% of a blend of plant protein ingredient and seaweed flour, and 50-70 wt% of water relative to the total weight of the wet extruded food product, wherein the seaweed flour is whole macroalgae powder containing at least 10% protein, and the seaweed flour accounts for at least 20 wt% of the total weight of the blend of plant protein ingredient and seaweed flour.
