Abstract
Provided is an ammonia synthesis catalyst capable of synthesizing ammonia efficiently and a production method therefor. The ammonia synthesis catalyst includes a carrier and an active metal supported on the carrier. The active metal contains at least one kind selected from ruthenium and nickel, and does not have iron as a main component. The carrier is a rare-earth oxynitride.
