Abstract

Method to adjust a processing parameter of an additive manufacturing process for controlling the porosity of a metallic part manufactured with said process, wherein the processing parameter has an effect on the porosity of the metallic part. The method comprises the steps of manufacturing at least one metallic part with the additive manufacturing process; applying at least two electric terminals to the manufactured metallic part and measuring the electric resistance between the two electric terminals; and adjusting the processing parameter in the additive manufacturing process in function of the measured electric resistance for additive manufacturing a metallic part with a controlled porosity.
