Abstract
[Problem] To efficiently execute multi-picking.[Solution] A robot system includes: a robot that executes a picking process for successively picking two or more workpieces moving along a conveying surface; a grouping unit that generates m groups (where m ≥ 1) each consisting of n workpieces (where n > 1) from a plurality of workpieces moving along the conveying surface; an order determination unit that determines, for at least one group among the m groups, a picking order that is an order for picking the n workpieces belonging to the group, using an optimization technique; and a robot control unit that controls the picking process of the robot so as to successively pick the n workpieces belonging to the group from the conveying surface according to the picking order and thereafter place the n workpieces at a predetermined placement position, for the at least one group.
