Abstract

An apparatus (1) for the production of a thermoformed object is described, comprising a feeding station (3) for a first sheet material (4) and a second sheet material (5), a first and a second heating station (6, 7), a forming station (8), lower conveying means (9) for conveying the first sheet material (4) from the feeding station (3) to the forming station (8) through the first heating station (6) along a first displacement direction (X1) and upper conveying means (10) for conveying the second sheet material (5) from the feeding station (3) to the forming station (8) through the second heating station (7) along a second displacement direction (X2). The upper conveying means (10) and the lower conveying means (9) are drivable independently of one another and are movable respectively along a first conveying path (P1) and a second conveying path (P2) which are parallel, horizontal and arranged one above the other. A method for the production of a thermoformed object is also described.
