Abstract
A linear motor conveyor system (100) uses a central controller (108) to determine trajectories (114a, 114b) of shuttles (106a, 106b) traveling on a conveyor track (102). The trajectories are provided to respective controllers in each section (104a, ..., 104h) of the conveyor track in order to determine and control the coil currents used to move the shuttles. A time synchronization process is used to ensure tight temporal synchronization across the different track sections
