Abstract

[Object] Provided is a passenger vehicle headrest support structure and a lock plate that can prevent a stay from rotating about its axis and being unlocked. [Means to Solve the Problems] In a vehicle headrest support structure 100 including a stay 110 configured to support a headrest and a lock mechanism 120 that is provided in a seat back and configured to lock the stay 110, a groove recessed in a horizontal direction is formed in a side surface of the stay 110, the lock mechanism 120 includes a plate-shaped lock plate 160 configured to engage with the groove, and a spring 170 configured to bring the lock plate 160 into engagement with the groove, and the lock plate 160 has a contact surface that is in areal contact with an abutting surface 112x on the bottom of the groove when the stay 110 is rotated about its axis.
