Abstract

A mobile assembly and a mobile assembly system are described, comprising a platform, a clamping assembly mounted on the platform, and a lifting assembly mounted on the platform. The clamping assembly is configured to adapt to different workpiece dimensions while providing controlled clamping force. The lifting assembly is configured to provide vertical positioning of a workpiece secured by the clamping assembly. In some embodiments, a controller is operatively coupled to the clamping assembly and the lifting assembly, and is configured to verify that the clamping force has reached a predetermined threshold and the clamping assembly is within a predetermined position range before initiating vertical displacement via the lifting assembly, and maintain the clamping parameters during vertical displacement operations.
