Abstract

The present invention relates to an AB co-polymer or AB co-oligomer having a resole like structure. In particular the invention is directed to an AB co-polymer or AB co-oligomer, a method of preparing the AB co-polymer or AB co-oligomer, a composition comprising the AB co-polymer or AB co-oligomer, and uses thereof. In one aspect, the AB co-polymer or AB co-oligomer is derived from repeating units of A and B, wherein repeating unit A is independently selected from the following structures: <img class="EMIRef" id="29d521f2-8f29-493a-a76f-a04b991efa28-ia01" /> and wherein repeating unit B is independently selected from the following structures: <img class="EMIRef" id="29d521f2-8f29-493a-a76f-a04b991efa28-ia02" />
