Abstract

A metallization method for polymeric substrates, comprising: (i) a mixing step, in which a polymeric compound is mixed with a graphene- and/or carbon nanotubes-based filler to obtain a conductive polymeric material comprising from 1 to 40% by weight of graphene- and/or carbon nanotubes-based filler; (ii) a forming step, in which the conductive polymeric material is molded into a shape of the polymeric substrate to be metallized; (iii) a plating step, in which the conductive polymeric substrate is subjected to electrochemical deposition or chemical plating.
