Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an artificial leather having excellent moldability that allows the artificial leather to easily follow complicated shapes, and excellent surface quality after being molded. The present invention pertains to an artificial leather comprising: a base material part that includes a polymer elastic body and a fiber entangled body including a nonwoven fabric made of ultrafine fibers having an average monofilament diameter of 0.01-10.00 µm; and a napped part on at least one surface of the artificial leather. The mass proportion of the polymer elastic body in the artificial leather is 15-40 mass%. The area proportion of the polymer elastic body on the surface of the artificial leather on which the napped part is present is 0.01-3.00%. The area proportion of the polymer elastic body in a cross-section of the artificial leather is not less than 5% but less than 15%.
