Abstract
A fluid nozzle device (10) for directing fluid towards an underside of a piston (8) of an internal combustion engine (2), the fluid nozzle device comprising a nozzle tube (11) having an inlet (12) for receiving a fluid, a primary outlet (13) for directing fluid towards the piston, and a secondary outlet (14) for directing fluid towards the piston, wherein the fluid nozzle device comprises a fluid flow control device (20) configured to control the flow of fluid through the secondary outlet in response to a fluid pressure at the inlet.
