Abstract

A mounting structure (1) for mounting a first solar panel (11) on a support surface (4). The mounting structure (1) comprising an elongated base structure (23) extending in a longitudinal direction (Lo_D) and configured for being fastened to the support surface (4); a first clamping element (5) attached to the elongated base structure (23); a first link arm structure (26) pivotally connected to the elongated base structure (23); a second clamping element (6) attached to the first link arm structure (26) for enabling motion of the second clamping element (6) relative to the first clamping element (5); and an elongated first actuator arrangement (49) comprising a first elongated tension bar (24) operably connected to a first tensioning mechanism (50) for selectively varying the tension of the first elongated tension bar (24). The first actuator arrangement (49) is upon operation of the first tensioning mechanism (50) configured for pulling the second clamping element (6) towards the first clamping element (5) for enabling clamping of the first solar panel between the first and second clamping elements (5,6).
