Abstract

A ball screw device testing apparatus includes a support that rotatably supports a rotation component of a ball screw device and linearly movably supports the other linear motion component, a first motor that generates a torque, and a load device that applies a load to the linear motion component. The load device includes a movable component that is disposed in a first direction with respect to the linear motion component and is movable in an axial direction and an orthogonal direction, a reaction force generation mechanism that is disposed in the first direction with respect to the movable component and presses the movable component from the first direction, and a radial load mechanism that moves the movable component in the orthogonal direction. The movable component is movable relative to the reaction force generation mechanism in the orthogonal direction. The movable component includes a coupling portion capable of transmitting a load in the second direction and the orthogonal direction to the linear motion component.
