Abstract

The present invention provides a building management system (1) configured to receive wireless signals (5), optionally radio signals, transmitted by an electrical device (3) usable by a person (4), the wireless signals (5) comprising an identifier (ID) identifying the electrical device (3); recognize the electrical device (3) on the basis of the identifier (ID) in the received wireless signals (5); determine a distance (d) between a location of a building infrastructure device (2) of the building management system (i) and a location of the recognized electrical device (3) using the received wireless signals (5); determine on the basis of the determined distance (d) whether a condition for controlling the building infrastructure device (2) according to statistical control data associated with the recognized electrical device (3) is fulfilled; and control the building infrastructure device (2) according to the statistical control data in case that the condition is fulfilled.
