Abstract

Embodiments of this application relate to the field of terminal technologies, and in particular, to an icon display method, an electronic device, and a storage medium. In the method, a resource management framework obtains an icon material image and a border material image. The icon material image includes a content element of a target icon, the border material icon includes a border element of the target icon, and the target icon is a to-be-displayed icon of a home screen APP. Then, the resource management framework sends the icon material image to the home screen APP. Then, the home screen APP adjusts sizes of the icon material image and the border material image to a target size. Then, the home screen APP obtains an icon display file based on a border material image of the target size and an icon material image of the target size. Then, the home screen APP displays a target image on a display screen based on the icon display file. When an icon is displayed by using the method, clarity of an icon displayed on an electronic device can be improved, and user experience can be improved.
