Abstract

According to one embodiment, a product registration system includes a mobile terminal connected to a network to permit a customer to perform product registration operations on products for sale at a store, a store clerk terminal for monitoring customer transactions, a cart control server to register products in a transaction table in response to a product registrations performed with the mobile terminal, and the mobile terminal to display a product registration screen. The cart control server also cause the mobile terminal to display a customer facial image captured by a camera of the mobile terminal or a basket image of a cart to which the mobile terminal is attached and transmits a warning notification to the store clerk terminal when a switching operation is performed to turn off the displaying of the customer facial image or the basket image on the display screen of the mobile terminal.
