Abstract
A multilayer ceramic electronic component capable of suppressing a decrease in reliability is provided. A multilayer ceramic capacitor (10) includes a multilayer body (12) in which a plurality of ceramic layers (14) and a plurality of internal electrode layers (16) are alternately laminated, and an outer electrode (30) formed on an outer surface of the multilayer body (12) and electrically connected to the internal electrode layers (16). The outer electrode (30) includes a resin electrode layer (33) that includes a resin (50) and a plurality of electrically conductive filler particles (40), and at least some of the plurality of electrically conductive filler particles (40) each include a Cu particle 41 as a core and have at least part of a surface composed of a Cu-Ag alloy including Cu and Ag.
