Abstract

Batteries using a positive electrode mixture comprising a sulfur-based positive electrode active material have room for improvement in terms of capacity and cycle characteristics. The battery of the present disclosure comprises a positive electrode mixture layer, an electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode. The positive electrode mixture layer comprises a sulfur-based active material and a P-containing sulfide. A ³¹P solid-state NMR spectrum of the positive electrode mixture layer satisfies the relationship I1/I2 ≤ 8.5 (I1: integrated intensity of peak originating from PS₄^3-, I2: integrated intensity of peak originating from reduction product).
