Abstract
A battery module of the present disclosure may include a cell stack composed of a plurality of battery cells that each has an electrode lead; and a cover frame covering the front or rear part of the cell stack, wherein the plurality of electrode leads may include a lead overlapping portion formed to overlap at least partially on the outside of the cover frame and configured to be welded, and wherein the cover frame may include a body portion having a slit through which the electrode lead passes; and a support portion that is disposed to be spaced apart from the lead overlapping portion, is positioned between the lead overlapping portion and the body portion, and assists in the mutual close contact and welding of the lead overlapping portions.
