Abstract

A system for conveying power associated with one or more antenna elements may include a connector disposed on a layer and configured to receive electromagnetic radiation having a first wave mode and to modify the electromagnetic radiation to have a second wave mode. The system may also include a waveguide disposed on the layer and having a proximal end that is electrically coupled to the connector. The waveguide may be configured to receive the electromagnetic radiation having the second wave mode and to convey the electromagnetic radiation having the second wave mode in a longitudinal direction of the waveguide. The system may further include one or more transmission transitions disposed on the layer and in transmissive communication with the waveguide. Each transmission transition may be configured to receive a portion of the electromagnetic radiation having the second wave mode, modify the portion of the electromagnetic radiation having the second wave mode to have a third wave mode, and convey the portion of the electromagnetic radiation having the third wave mode to a subset of the one or more antenna elements.
