Abstract
Embodiments of this application provide a decoding method and an apparatus, applied to a receiving end device. A control channel is established between the receiving end device and a sending end device, and the decoding method includes: receiving a demodulation reference signal sent by the sending end device through the control channel; estimating channel quality of the control channel according to the demodulation reference signal; selecting a first decoding algorithm when the channel quality of the control channel meets a first condition; and selecting a second decoding algorithm when the channel quality of the control channel meets a second condition, where the channel quality meeting the first condition is better than the channel quality meeting the second condition, a decoding delay of the first decoding algorithm is less than a decoding delay of the second decoding algorithm, and decoding reliability of the first decoding algorithm is less than decoding reliability of the second decoding algorithm, so that a decoding algorithm is adaptively selected according to the channel quality of the control channel, to improve decoding reliability and reduce a decoding delay, so as to improve communication reliability.
