Abstract
A communication method, device, and system are provided, and belong to the field of communication technologies. The method includes: When a link from a first device to a second device is in a service bitstream transmission state, the first device sends a first control bitstream that includes a first error correction encoding mode to the second device, and then the first device receives a service bitstream that is sent by the second device and that is encoded in the first error correction encoding mode. This application can resolve a problem that a service bitstream cannot be transmitted when a device enters a training state to set an encoding mode. This application is used to set an error correction encoding mode of a service bitstream when a link is in a service bitstream transmission state.
