Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a processing method and apparatus for a timer, the method comprising: when a first timer is not running, a terminal equipment performs at least one of the following processing: fast recovery; random access-based cell switch; transmitting the first uplink data by using a dynamic grant; or starting or restarting the first timer; wherein the first timer is a configured grant timer or a time alignment timer. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal equipment may continue to transmit the first uplink data when a first timer is not running, thus ensuring successful completion of LTM cell switch or completion of LTM execution.
