Abstract

A computer system (31) comprising processing circuitry (33) configured to: receive an indication (35) of a predicted duration of a sailing period during which a vehicle (1) can carry out a mission without driving at least a first wheel (13a-b) and a second wheel (17a-b) of the vehicle (3) using a prime mover (7) of the vehicle (3); and provide, in response to the predicted duration of the sailing period being longer than a predefined threshold duration, a command (37) to disconnect, during at least a portion of the sailing period, the first wheel (13a-b) and the second wheel (17a-b) from each other, allowing the first wheel (13a-b) and the second wheel (17a-b) to rotate independently of each other.
