Abstract
A vehicle control apparatus (10) executes a collision risk reduction control to reduce a collision risk when a collision condition is satisfied. The collision condition is based on a relative relationship between a host vehicle (100) and an object (200) ahead of the host vehicle (100) and is satisfied when there is a collision risk that the host vehicle (100) collides with the object (200). The vehicle control apparatus (10) performs a change process to change the collision condition such that the collision condition is made difficult to be satisfied when a first condition and a second condition are satisfied. The first condition is a condition that the object (200) exists in an adjacent lane. The second condition is a condition that a length of the object (200) in a traveling direction of the host vehicle (100) is equal to or greater than a predetermined length.
