Abstract

A discharge pump (1) for household appliances comprising:- an electric motor (2);- an impeller (3);- a volute chamber (4) within which said impeller (3) rotates; said volute chamber (4) being delimited by: a top (43) on which a fluid suction (40) is present; a side wall (44) on which a fluid supply (41) opens; and a bottom (46) provided with a transmission opening (47) for the kinematic connection al electric motor (2);- said impeller (3) comprising a plate, a plurality of main blades (30) arranged on a side of said plate facing the top (43), and at least one projection protruding from said plate toward said bottom (46);- said bottom (46) having a counter-projection (48) protruding toward the plate of the impeller (3), arranged in a radially inner position with respect to the projection;- said at least one projection and said at least one counter-projection (48) forming a labyrinth fluid path between the volute chamber (4) and the transmission opening (47).
