Abstract

A secondary battery includes a stack-type electrode assembly in which a plurality of unit batteries are stacked in a first direction, the stack-type electrode assembly having electrode leads at each end thereof in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, a multifunctional terminal block located at each end of the stack-type electrode assembly, and a laminate sheet surrounding side surfaces of the stack-type electrode assembly. The multifunctional terminal block includes a fused resin layer having a locally increased thickness on a side surface thereof.
