Abstract
Luminaire comprising lighting means configured to provide a light emission of the luminaire by emitting light, a driver, and a control unit configured to control the light emission of the luminaire by controlling an electrical supply of the lighting means from the driver. The control unit is configured to obtain a remaining lifetime of one or more electrical components of the luminaire, and control an indication of the remaining lifetime of an electrical component of the one or more electrical components via the light emission of the luminaire to outside the luminaire by determining one or more parameters, optionally a light intensity, a flashing, and/or a frequency of the flashing, of the light emission of the luminaire dependent on the remaining lifetime of the electrical component, generating one or more control signals according to the one or more parameters, and providing the one or more control signals to the driver.
