Abstract

There is provided an aerosol-generating system, including: an aerosol-generating unit operable to generate aerosol from an aerosol-forming material in a storage portion; an air inlet, a mouth end, and an air passageway extending therebetween via a region in proximity to the aerosol-generating unit; wherein the mouth end includes a filter receptacle and a filter received into the filter receptacle; wherein the filter has a first portion defining a first end of the filter and a second portion defining a second end of the filter; wherein either portion of the filter is receivable into the filter receptacle so that the other portion is exposed from the filter receptacle for delivery of generated aerosol to a user via the exposed end.
