Abstract

An electro-optical device (1) comprising a radiation unit (10) adapted to emit a radiation beam (11) having a peak emission wavelength in a range of 280-320 nm, a detection unit (20) adapted to detect a distance to a user and generate a detection signal based on the detection, and a radiation control unit (30) adapted to receive the detection signal and generate a control signal in response. The electro-optical device (1) is adapted to provide an irradiance in the range 0.003-0.5 mW/cm<2> to the user.
