Abstract

An inkjet direct to film (DTF) printer system 100 for producing a thermal transfer film original by forming an image by discharging ink onto a thermal transfer film 120 and forming an adhesive layer 127 on the image includes a liquid discharger 10 to discharge the ink onto the thermal transfer film 120, a dispenser unit 20 which is a non-inkjet type, including a coating nozzle 31 to discharge an adhesive liquid, and to apply the adhesive liquid on the image by discharging the adhesive liquid from the coating nozzle 31, a first carriage 40 to move the liquid discharger 10, a second carriage 50 to move the dispenser unit 20, a conveyor 110 to convey the thermal transfer film 120, and a control unit 200 to control operations of the liquid discharger 10, the dispenser unit 20, the first carriage 40, the second carriage 50, and the conveyor 110, wherein the control unit is to form the adhesive layer 127 by controlling the conveyor 110 to perform a line feed.
